September 2009 Belt Ceremony at MJA Martial Arts, Spencer, MA

We celebrate our next belt ceremony on Saturday September 26th at 9:30 am. I want to congratulate all who achieved their new belt ranks. I would also like to invite all parents and
relatives to sharing this special time with us. We hope you will feel welcome.

Kick-A-Thon, Hopeful Tomorrow Scholarship Fundraiser, Spencer, MA

Fundraising efforts for the Hopeful Tomorrow scholarship fund will include a Kick-A-Thon to be held at MJA Martial Arts, Inc. to help celebrate World Martial Arts day on October 17, 2009. Schools from around the country will try to break a record for the most kicks thrown on one day. All funds raised from the kick-a-thon will help children in the community who would otherwise not be able to take martial arts lessons.

Hopeful Tomorrow is a 501C-3 non-profit organization to offer scholarships for low income and underprivileged children for martial arts lessons. Hopeful Tomorrow, based out of Seminole, Florida is nationally recognized as one of the leaders providing funds for children to participate in a whole range of activities from martial arts to creative arts.

Spencer, MA – MJA Martial Arts, Inc., 64 Main Street has partnered with Hopeful Tomorrow, a 501C-3 non-profit organization to offer scholarships for low income and underprivileged children for martial arts lessons.

Hopeful Tomorrow, based out of Seminole, Florida is nationally recognized as one of the leaders providing funds for children to participate in a whole range of activities from martial arts to creative arts.

Hopeful Tomorrow’s mission states “We help the disadvantaged and at-risk youth of our nation pursue their passions and dreams. It is our mission to provide these children with access to cultural, physical and fine arts programs including, but not limited to: music, art, dance, gymnastics, and martial arts. We seek to open doors and futures which would otherwise be closed to much of America’s youth. These programs provide guidance to the misguided and inspiration to the uninspired. Positive role models and a creative outlet can change any child’s life. HOPEFUL TOMORROW strives to provide a vehicle for that change.”
