PSA Personal Safety Self-Defense Workshop

Twelve adults and eight kids participated in our self defense workshop on Saturday Feb 23. The kids learned skills on how to deal with bullies, "stranger danger" and prevention of physical altercations. The adults learned boundary setting, how to deal with a physical altercation and defending against a variety of different attacks. All came in hesitant as to what they would be required to do. All left, however, a bit more confident that they would be able to focus on what would be needed to defend themselves and escape to safety.

For anyone who missed this workshop, you can still register for the 8 week program which will begin on Thursday March 7 at 6:30pm. Call the school for more information and save your place.

Bring Your Parent to Class Week

Do you ever wonder what your child's Instructor is telling them during class? Well, our students' parents found out during our most recent "Bring Your Parent to Class" week. Parents came in and participated in training with their child, learning moves and techniques that were being taught. The kids also got to instruct their parent to see how much they learned. From Ninja Tigers to Intermediate, all the parents had fun. When asked what they thought after their child's class we were told "Wow! What a workout!!".
They also told us they gained a new appreciation for how hard their child works during their class.
Come join us for the next Bring Your Parent to Class week. You'll be amazed at how much you learn!

Pizza & Movie Night

Had a great time hosting the kids and having pizza and watching the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". We played games, burned off some energy, had some food and juices then settled in to watch the movie in the Dojo. It's a great night for all of the kids in the school who don't know each other from different levels to get together and teach each other their techniques. Parents appreciate it for the couple of hours of "free time"! Want to join us at our next movie night? Stay tuned!
