The Walk and 5k For Autism Awareness-April 27, 2014

MJA Martial Arts and our demonstration team put on a 1-hour demonstration at Lake Park in Worcester MA. Directed by Sensei Michael Agbay. Head coach Michael Frustaci and assistant coach Stavros Aganis did a remarkable job putting these routines together and choreographed to music. With the assistance of Instructor Chris Orcutt and Assistant Instructor Kendra Mort. Students ranging from 6-17 years participated in the incredible event. Everything from group routines to individual empty hand and weapon routines were performed. Even though the weather was cold and rainy, all these kids lit up the park with their smiles and attitudes.

There were also some kata (forms) and technique demonstrations put on by our very own students who themselves have a form of Autism. enough to make any parent proud!

MJA Martial Arts has also become a sponsor to help raise money for Worcester Autism Resource Center of Central Massachuestts.
We conducted a Kick-A-Thon which we set a goal for $3000.00 which ends Saturday May 3, 2014.

Bring Parent's To Class Week- April 1-5

April 1-5 was Bring your parents to class week! It was a fantastic turnout!
We had over 20 parents come in and train with their kids!

The students worked with their parents teaching them their katas (forms), belt techniques and pad drills which included punches, blocks and kicks. The kids were so pumped up and excited. It built their confidence to be able to show what they've learned during their classes.

Parents got a feel for how much their little ones had to memorize and what was required for their belt ranks.
We also had a drawing for all the parents who participated to enter to win a month free of training.

Thanks to all who participated in this wonderful event.
